Our Work

The main activity of Scale Dogs is training guide dogs for people with a visual impairment. Guide dogs guide their blind or visually impaired owners safely and smoothly through traffic and past obstacles, perform searches, and are able to refuse a command if there is any kind of danger. In addition, a guide dog facilitates social contact with other people. No other means of mobility offers people with a visual impairment so much independence and freedom. Thanks to their guide dog, they too can participate in daily life without being dependent on others.

In addition, we try to give as many dogs as possible that are not suitable for guidance work an alternative career such as autism dog, institution dog or buddy dog. We also organize, in collaboration with our colleagues from Dyadis vzw, PAWS workshops for parents of children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
