Our Puppies

Scale dogs mainly works with labrador retrievers, although next to that we might also select a Swiss white shepherd or a golden retriever puppy. The puppies are purchased either from breeders whom’s work ethic matches the requirements of Scale Dogs, or from Purpose Dogs (an association dedicated to the selection and breeding of dogs for assistance dog schools member of the BADF)

The instructors carefully choose the puppies that are eligible to become guide dogs. Character testing is done and we’ll look into the parents’ medical history to ensure that the puppies meet the highest quality standards and that their training will be a good investment.
